Clear Anodizing

Clear Anodizing is the mainstay of the anodizing industry to reduce and/or prevent corrosion and oxidation. Thickness of the anodic layer can vary from almost nil to 1-2 mils and meets MIL-A-8625 F Type II Class 1.

Generally, the more demanding the application, the thicker the anodic layer. To obtain a thicker layer, more time or voltage is required during processing.

To achieve extremely durable and tougher surfaces, we recommend hard coating (Type III) Meets MIL-A-8625F Type III.

Several designations are used to specify certain finishes on anodized aluminum . These include the architectural anodized finish in conformance with Aluminum Association Standard SSA-46 or AAMA 611 standard.

Clear anodizing is performed on both production lines.
