Chemfilm( Chemical conversion) can be used to prepare materials for painting or provide a corrosion resistant surface.. They are also used to form a highly conductive surface for electrical applications. Anodine, Iridite , and Chemfilm are all names to describe the chemical conversions but some are more effective than others. The process that we offer yields a superior quality surface on aluminum and is designated ChemFilm TCP-HF.

This process exhibits an almost clear surface without color and meets all specifications for chemical conversions. The process uses a hexavalent- free Trivalent chrominum solution that works on aluminum, zinc, and all zinc alloys including tin zinc and cadmium. It exhibits better bonding for paint, powder, rubber as compared to existing hexavalent chrome. In addition, it is does not change product dimensions. Products treated with our ChemFilm TCP can be baked to 800 degF without degradation.

Specifications Met: MIL DTL 81706 and MIL C 5541 class 1A and 3

Passivation of stainless steel does just what the name implies- makes the stainless steel passive. In other words, the surface is, for all practical purposes, no longer active to corrosion. Corrosion tests performed on stainless steel demonstate the effectiveness of the newer compounds that meet and/or exceed the requirements of AMS 2700 & ASTM A-967.
